Benefit VS Milani || Mascara dupes

October 30, 2017

Hey lovelies, I hope you’re warm and well!
I do love finding a good bargain, something that works really well for me and doesn’t break the bank. I was browsing the Beauty base for some a new mascara and stumbled across two that look very familiar. Now, I swear by benefit mascaras but sometimes I just don’t have a spare £20 to replace my well loved tubes. That’s where I struck lucky. The two I ended up getting had wands almost identical to the “Roller Lash” and “They’re real” and cost half the price. Could these be benefit mascara dupes?

Roller lash dupe?

The first mascara I picked up was the Milani lash trifecta  which has the same curved want with short bristles to get right down to the root of your lashes, lifting them up for  more wide eyed look. Both these mascara’s have great lengthening formulas, I don’t even need to curl before mascara to achieve a long lashed look. The other thing I liked about the Milani mascara is that my lashed don’t clump or feel flaky once dried, just like the roller lash. I think this is a great dupe of my favorite mascara and the price point is much more appealing.

They’re real dupe?

The second mascara I picked up was the Big&Bigger lashes from Milani. I couldn’t help the notice the want was similar to my first mascara love from benefit, They’re real. Again, the bristles are short and spiked with a domed tip to capture every lash. On testing the big&bigger I really liked the way it separated my lashes, but it didn’t give me the volume I get from They’re real. After a few hours, the Milani one began to feel a bit dry and crumbled. I’d say it’s okay if you’ve got to pop out quickly, but I don’t think it will replace my benefit.  Also, I found the Big&Bigger lash easier to remove at the end of the day which was good because they’re real is a bugger to get off!

Overview

So, out of my two benefit mascara dupes, one worked really well for me The other not so much. For a tenner, it’s worth giving them a go and seeing how they work for you. I still love benefit cosmetics mascaras and they haven’t been completely replaced. However, it’s handy to have a cheaper alternative as a back up! Should also mention, both these Milani mascara’s are vegan friendly and cruelty free, yay!

I need to invest in as many Benefit dupes as I can as there is bow a Benefit opposite my new office and I will officially be poor! Great and honest post.
