Hey lovelies, I hope you’re warm and well!
We all love a good highlight don’t we? Anything from a cute subtle glow, to an intense blinding highlight that can be seen from the stars. Every brand has some form of highlighter now, so I thought I’d share with you my top picks and the best drugstore highlighters. All for under a tenner as well. Can’t go wrong really can ya?
Makeup revolution vivid shimmer brick:
A gorgeous selection of shades that suit a variety of skin tones. You can use each one on it’s own or swirl your brush around for a custom colour. Use this with a light hand because the pigmentation is blinding. A little goes a long way with this product so you’re getting such a good deal considering this is only £3! This is one of my go-to highlights because it can be built up and doesn’t sink into my pores. I done a review on this already, which you can read here.
Rimmel good to glow:
This liquid highlighter can be used in so many ways and creates different effects. Mix in with your primer to give your skin an inner glowing Goddess vibe, combine with body moisturiser for a subtle shimmer all over, or straight up dab it all over the high points of your face to accentuate that bone structure. When I’m looking for a super intense highlight, I use this as a liquid base and then add a powder highlight on top. They’ll see you shine all the way from the international space station. This product retails for a very reasonable £4.99 and it lasts for ages!
Sleek solstice palette:
I don’t think I need to even say much about this. We’ve all seen this absolutely everywhere and I’m sure. For very good reason too! The highlighting quad is perfect for an intense glow. A cream highlight is cute on its own or used as a base to for the 3 powders. This product is the higher price of the bunch at £9.99, but for 4 different shades I think it’s a bargain!
I heart makeup Mermaid highlighter:
5 bold, mermaid inspired colours to mix and match to create your unique shade. I love mixing the icy blue and pink together personally, it gives me the perfect metallic shine! If you aren’t bold enough to use these on your cheek bones, they make great shimmer eye shadows, inner corner and nose highlights as well as brow and cupids bow shimmer! Quite a versatile product and really affordable at just a fiver! I believe there’s also a dragon and unicorn inspired heart highlighter too!
So, there’s my round up of the best drugstore highlighters for your money. I hope you found something you like.
Question time: What are your go to highlighters?
