♥ Hey Loveliesss ♥
After hearing so much about the new L’Oreal infallible product range, I decided to pick up a few bits and give it a try myself. It’s no lie that I’m a huge fan of high street cosmetics and I truly believe you can pick up some amazing quality products at an affordable price point, so hears hoping that this range hits the spot.
Let’s start on a positive shall we.. I’m obsessed with this primer. It does a really good job at creating a smooth base for my foundation and manages to keep it there through out the day. It feels quite siliconey, so for those of you who love the pore-fessional from benefit and the smash box primers, this is a really good dupe and cheaper alternative. I will say that a little of this primer goes a long way, I just use a small amount and it covers my whole face so its even better value for your hard earned cash.
The beauty sponge.. I don’t really have much to say about this as it really didn’t work for me. I found it was quite hard and didn’t blend anything easily. It wasn’t as bouncy as my real techniques sponge and it soaked up quite a lot of the foundation which isn’t impressive.
Talking of foundation, I really wasn’t a fan of the infallible foundation, it applied really heavy and cakey which is what I was afraid off. The coverage is what it says to be, full.. But when it doesn’t apply or sit nicely, a fuller coverage foundation is not good look. Though out the day it became quite patchy around my checks and I just really wasn’t feeling it. I tried applying the foundation different ways but I just didn’t find it worked for my skin. I got the lightest shade in “Porcelain” which was a close colour match for me, so I guess that’s something?
Lastly, the setting spray. I LOVED it so much. It doesn’t have that chemically smell like other drugstore fixing sprays has and it melted all the excess powders on my face right into my skin, leaving it looking flawless. I noticed a difference in how long my base lasted while using this spray too. Very impressed with this spray and it will be a repurchase item for me over and over.
I really wanted to love this range but I found it very hit and miss. I loved the primer and setting spray but the other two items just weren’t happening for me. I’m a big fan of the L’Oreal brand and I use so many of their products day to day so this post isn’t bashing them at all. I didn’t pick up the colour correcting palette because I’m so in love my NYX one but if any of you have tried it and recommend it, let me know below. I’d say there are much better drugstore foundations out there, but if you can pick up the primer and spray.
Thanks for being here
