Hey loveliess, I hope you’re all well!
Lush is a favourite amongst bloggers it seems, and as a fan of their bath bombs and fizz bars I thought I’d try out some of their skincare products. My boyfriend very kindly bought me the cupcake mask because he knows I love anything chocolatey!
The mask is mainly aimed at oily skin babes (which isn’t me) but is created using rhassoul mud and cocoa powder which acts as a magnet to draw out any dirt and impurities from your skin. The extra ingredients like fresh mint helps cool and tone the skin while a perfect blend of linseed and cocoa butter provides a gentle moisture. The cupcake mask is certainly versatile and targets a lot of my problem area’s.
I’ve used the mask a handful of times now and when applied, I really feel like it is working deep down in my pores to clear everything out and help fight back against my delayed teenage skin. I use a clean flat foundation brush to apply the mask in a thick layer over my whole face. After leaving the mask on for around 15 minutes I gentle wash of with warm water and a cloth. My face always feels so clean and fresh after using cupcake and it’s the perfect skin treatment to give your complexion a little boost! If I was to find a fault with the product it would be that it has to be kept in the fridge, sometimes I forget it’s there but overall I’m super impressed ! The cupcake mask is handmade and costs £7.25 for a 75 gram pot which is mega affordable too.
Most of you probably already know, but for anyone that doesn’t, all lush products are cruelty free and made from natural ingredients from ethical sources.
Fancy a free mask? Take back 5 black empty pots and you’ll receive a free full size mask of your choice. Lush have their own recycle centre where pots are broken down and made into new ones. So save those empties and save the planet
