Hey loveliesss, welcome back!
I hope you’re all warm and well <3
W7 are a brand I was never really familiar with, but after winning a giveaway on twitter, I thought I’d give these products a try and let you know my thoughts.
W7 Tinted kiss lip oil – English rose £4.95
I was intrigued by product, because I don’t own anything like it. The oil feels like a nourishing, moisturising lip gloss and has a pale pink tint to it. Perfect for the warmer months when you just want a soft wash of colour and avoid dry cracking lips. The lip oil has a subtle sweet scent which is pleasant and it isn’t heavy or sticky feeling on my lips. The applicator is a tear drop shaped doe foot which makes for easy application. I was really impressed with this tinted lip oil and I think it’ll be getting a lot of use this summer.
W7 Extra Extra mascara – blackest black £5.95
I’m always a little sceptical with new mascara’s because I know what I like and what works for me. The mascara wand is quite thick and the bristles are plastic, very short but well coated with product. Before applying the mascara I curled my lashes for max results. The wand was able to get right to the root of my lashes and there was a good even coat of product, my lashes didn’t clump together and my lashes appeared longer, but not thicker. After I few hours, I noticed the mascara began flaking and crumbling a little and my lashes felt quite hard. It’s an okay mascara if you’re just popping to town but I wouldn’t recommend for a night out.
W7 Pump and blush cream blusher – Sin £4.95
As a rule, I don’t usually use cream blushes, I’m more of a powder blush girl but I thought I’d give this a little go. I had no idea what to use for application so I tried a brush and it began moving my foundation around, I tried a damp beauty blender and the same happened. I ended up using the end of my finger to gently tap the product over the apples of my cheeks and this worked for me. I quite liked the finish of the blush, it gave a subtle flush of colour to my face and the pale pink colour looked nice and natural on. The blush lasted well throughout the day but I’m still not a cream blush kinda girl. If you are, this will be good for you.
W7 Brow parlour grooming kit – £6.95
The brow parlour comes in a pretty pink sturdy tin that includes, two brown powders, brow wax, a highlight shade, mini tweezers and a doubled ended brush (Spoolie and angled) I used the spoolie and a small amount of wax to push my brow hairs into place and it was pretty easy, I then used the darkest brow powder to shape my brows and fill in the tail. Using the lighter brown shade I pushed it through the start of my brow to create an ombre effect. I was so impressed with this little kit and I’ve used it quite a lot since I’ve had it. The powders weren’t chalky and there wasn’t much fall out. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants easy brow application for an affordable price point.
W7 smokin’ eye shadow palette – £9.95
The smokin’ tin has a lovely range of 12 shades that are perfect for creating a glamours smokey eye and pretty natural looks. I was surprised at the the quality of the shadows for the price point, they were nicely pigmented, easy to blend together and long lasting. The palette has a good mixture of shimmers and mattes from dark to light, so something for everyone. I’ve used the palette a good few times and the formula of each shadow seems consistently good. I know I’ll get more use from this palette and if you want to see some looks created from this, let me know in the comment section below.
I was pleasantly surprised by the range of products I tested out. The brand create super affordable products with no comprise on quality, so if you’re working on a budget or fancy trying something new, I’d 100% recommend picking some of these up and giving them a go yourself. My favourite of the bunch would have to be the smokin’ palette because the shade range is right up my street.
